Deri Jones & Associates Ltd specialise in the supply of 3D laser scanning, 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Visualisation services.

DJA use 3D Laser scanning, photogrammetry, 3D CAD modelling software and industry standard rendering software to provide the link between existing structures, engineering production mdels and marketing data. We can supply a full service for the capturing of existing structures and buildings, which can be used for both visualisation and accurate CAD modelling. This is combined with an experienced CAD modelling team who are well versed in the realities of creating workable CAD models of complex structures. Re- purposing of the CAD data for marketing images or animations cuts down on costs and provides flexibility in describing designs to clients. DJA have considerable experience in translating 2 and 3D CAD data in to useable sales and technical documentation images. Working with associates that specialise in photography, web design, film and digital content creation, we can provide a full service of re-purposing digital design data to web, DVD or print.

DJA have a background in mechanical engineering and developing CAD / CAM systems for use in the marine industry.

With eleven years experience in the CAD field, DJA have an in depth knowledge of how to gain the best performance from CAD systems and leverage that information for other purposes. We work in conjunction with Geo Spatial Survey Solutions Ltd to provide an accurate and in depth laser surveying solution for the documentation of existing structures and use the latest technology in both hardware and software to make the best use of 3D digital data. We rely on efficient use of web and email communications and have experience of project management and collaboration with world wide customers and suppliers.

3D documentation of structures, archaeological sites, crime scenes and ship hulls using a variety of laser surveying and scanning techniques. Captured 3D scan data can be re used for providing walk throughs, acurate 2D sections and plans or re engineered in to useable CAD models for providing "as built" measurement. Design of 3D steel and aluminium assembly systems for complex structures. A well developed system used by many of the leading shipbuilding yards in the UK, DJA have many years of experience in developing efficient interlocking assembly systems for steel and aluminium structures.
